Putting My Experience to Work
As a parent and teacher of over 30 years, I know how important our schools are to our children's education and future. That's why I am running for the Virginia Beach School Board, I am committed to closing the achievement gap for our students, especially those impacted by special needs and financial instability. I am continuously working hard to ensure our young adult learners are able to earn while they learn, through paid internships and workforce development grants.
I want to focus on giving praises and raises to our teachers and staff, collaborating with them, as well as the city council, on priorities in the budget. I want to build coalitions and connections, meet with municipal leadership to discuss the needs of our learners and employees; all while being transparent.
As a School Board member, I will work tirelessly to address these challenges and ensure that our schools provide the best possible education for our children.
We can work together to give our future leaders the BEST educational experience in Virginia Beach.
